Osaka, Japan – Atransen Pharma Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; CEO: Tomoyuki Asano) today announced that it will exhibit at BIO International Convention 2026, one of the world’s largest international partnering events in the biotechnology sector, to be held in San Diego, USA, from June 22 (Mon) to June 25 (Thu), 2026.
We are pleased to announce that our company has been selected by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) as an exhibitor in the Japan Pavilion at BIO International Convention 2026.
BIO International Convention is one of the world’s largest biotechnology events, attracting more than 20,000 industry professionals from around the globe, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, research institutions, and investors.
Atransen Pharma is developing APL1101, a first-in-class oral “locking” inhibitor of LAT1 (SLC7A5), the amino-acid transporter that cancer cells depend on for growth. LAT1 is highly expressed across a broad range of solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and APL1101 has demonstrated promising preclinical activity both as monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
To date, Atransen Pharma has steadily advanced the non-clinical studies, formulation development, and CMC readiness (including GMP manufacturing) of APL1101. The Company is currently in consultation with Japan’s PMDA and the U.S. FDA, and aims to begin its Phase 1 trial in Japan during 2026, followed by expansion to US sites in 2027 to make the study global.
